How to use the Sort Text Lines
- Paste your lines.
- Choose the sort order.
- Copy or download.
How it works
Alphabetical sorting uses locale-aware comparison. Numeric sorting uses the leading number on each line. Shuffling uses a secure random shuffle.
Worked example
Banana, apple, cherry sorted A–Z becomes apple, banana, cherry.
Good to know
Tick Ignore case for case-insensitive alphabetical order.
Numeric mode treats lines without numbers as 0.
Drop empty lines to tidy the result.
