Image Converter

Different image formats suit different jobs: JPG for photos, PNG for graphics needing transparency, and WebP for smaller files on the web.

How to use the Image Converter

  1. Add images.
  2. Choose the output format and quality.
  3. Download each converted file.

How it works

Images are decoded to a canvas and re-encoded in the chosen format. JPG and WebP use the quality slider; PNG is lossless. Transparency becomes white in JPG.

Worked example

A 2 MB PNG photo often becomes 300–500 KB as a 85% JPG.

Good to know

Converting JPG to PNG does not restore lost detail or make files smaller.

WebP support depends on the browser.
