Text Diff Checker

A diff compares two texts and lists what changed. It is the same idea version-control tools use to show edits.

How to use the Text Diff Checker

  1. Paste the original and changed text.
  2. Click Compare.
  3. Review added and removed lines.

How it works

The tool computes the longest common subsequence of lines, then marks lines only in the changed text as additions (+) and lines only in the original as removals (−).

Worked example

Changing one line in a ten-line text shows 1 added and 1 removed line.

Good to know

Comparison is line-based and case-sensitive.

Limit is 1,500 lines per side.
